Huntington Station second baseman Danny Ortiz played a vital role in his team's 10-6 conquest of Manhattan. He went 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 4 times for Huntington Station. Huntington Station pitcher Oscar Ovalle got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Eric Jefcoat got the loss. Lance Kennedy collected his 1st save.

Dean Hrusovsky had a big 2-run double for the Ramrods in the top of the third inning. With Huntington Station leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Jefcoat and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ramrods ahead, 4-1.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Ortiz.

The Ramrods now own a record of 38-64.
