5-for-6 Game for Wells
Hunter Wells got the glory and the headlines, but the Pasadena Bumblebees left with the win. The Fairfield left fielder easily handled the Bumblebees pitching, going 5-for-6, but his Fairfield Flash came out on the short end of the 13-11 score.

Wells told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.

"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."

Hunter Wells doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

This year, Wells has batted at a .324 pace with 178 hits, 29 home runs, 106 RBIs and scored 94 times.
