Conditions were not ideal but Quebec and Cabo San Lucas were able to put their game in the books.

The Quebec Armada racked up a win at Lucky 7 Ballpark, bumping off the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 5-3. Tim Jones, who started for Quebec, pitched effectively for his team. Jones, now 13-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Nick Cockrell was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 16 save opportunities.

Quebec took a 4-3 lead on Francisco Valdez's 24th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Valdez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cabo San Lucas pitcher Bobby Avila visibly frustrated.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Labib Sarahani. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."

Their 59-58 record puts the Armada third in the Roberto Clemente League International Division.
