Privateers Double Up Swallowtails, 4-2

The Memphis Privateers rode a solid performance from 33-year-old starting pitcher Kiyonobu Yamasaki Jr. to a win, beating the State College Swallowtails, 4-2, at Stars Field. In 8 innings, Yamasaki Jr. surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Dean Armstrong, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 16th save.
Fergus Fisher had a direct impact on the outcome. Fisher contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Memphis up, 3-0.
"Kiyonobu was able to execute his pitches," said Memphis manager Ross Allan. "Simple as that."
The Privateers are now 76-83, while the Swallowtails fall to 75-84.
