Fairfield designated hitter Jason Gonick contributed significantly to his team's 8-6 win over the Calgary Cowboys. Gonick went 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Flash. Fabien Nuvolari snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-1 on the season. Jose del Real suffered the loss. Tony Mireles locked down his 4th save.

Gonick contributed in the top of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Fairfield get the win.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Gonick told the Fairfield Chronicle.

The second-place Flash are 85-73.
