Argonauts Absorb 3-1 Loss at Capital Grounds
|
The Albany Firebirds earned a close win over the Astoria Argonauts, thanks in part to Jeff Kappel. The Albany right-hander played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Israel Sanchez recorded his 19th save for Albany. Albany's winning streak has reached 4 games.
The Firebirds got a big at-bat from center fielder Akatelaji Dingane. For the game, Dingane was 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 25th double of the season gave Albany a 2-1 lead.
Kappel called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
