The State College Swallowtails powered past the Memphis Privateers, 9-5, at Stars Field. Zack Levin provided some of the pop. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Steve Stevens earned the win, while 35-year old right-handed pitcher Edward Irizarry took the loss for Memphis. Picking up the save was Randy McCafferty, his 7th.

Herberto Tonilhas took Memphis hurler Edward Irizarry deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 3-run home run put the Swallowtails on top, 6-3. In all, Tonilhas had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Levin told the State College Observer. "But we take nothing for granted."

The 5th-place Swallowtails are now 75-82, the Privateers 74-83.
