Outlaws Fall to .500 After 7-3 Loss to Cats
The Fort Worth Cats downed the Baton Rouge Outlaws, 7-3. The hitting star was catcher Sergio Benitez. Benitez went 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Cats. Nick Loyd closed it out for his 34th save. The Cats are now 75-81, while the Outlaws fall to 78-78.

Danny Gomez had a big run-scoring double for the Cats in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Fort Worth leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Chad Reid and swatted a double to left. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cats ahead, 3-1.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli.
