Thunder Bay Black Bears starter Josh McCloud was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the State College Swallowtails, 4-2. McCloud picked up the win for Thunder Bay, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 14-8. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Josh Burdette.
Khalil Barner helped out the Thunder Bay cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"I thought we played a nice game," Barner told the Thunder Bay Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
