Spottswood Helps Maple Cruise to 10-3 Win
Due in large part to right fielder Kevin Spottswood, the Maple Marauders sunk the Milwaukee Millers, 10-3. Spottswood went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Maple starter Josh Hall was credited with the win after throwing 100 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 8-6. Picking up his 6th save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Paul Blevins.

With Maple trailing 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Spottswood hit a changeup from Drew Young for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Marauders ahead, 2-1.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Spottswood.

The Millers, now 63-55, have lost 4 in a row.
