Fairfield and Baton Rouge got after it at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The Fairfield Flash got a stellar effort from pitcher Josh Sills, helping Fairfield score a win over the visiting Baton Rouge Outlaws, 9-1. Tony Oliva got the save, the 4th for him this season.

Jeremy King had a big 2-run double for the Flash in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Fairfield leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jordan Phelps and swatted a double to center. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flash ahead, 4-1.

"What a dismal performance," lamented losing manager Rick Childress.

Their 76-76 record puts the Flash 5th in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.
