The Fairfield Flash defeated the Calgary Hitmen in 11 innings, 5-4, in part because of designated hitter Jason Gonick. Gonick went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Flash. The win belonged to Matt Reichel in relief. His record improves to 6-0. Cody Paskert took the loss for Calgary. The third-place Flash now have a win-loss record of 81-71.

The decisive blow was delivered by Aidan Walley in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Cody Paskert to win the game for Fairfield. The home crowd went nuts.

Walley described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
