Fairfield center fielder John Myers made his presence felt in the 12-1 Flash triumph over the Fort Worth Cats. Myers went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Reliever Mike Whittle picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. Alex Ventura took the loss. Fairfield is now 74-76, Fort Worth 72-78.

Bobby Trombly had a big bases-clearing double for the Flash in the top of the fourth inning. With Fairfield trailing 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a knuckle curve from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Ventura and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flash ahead, 3-1.

"Not much went right for us," Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli said, when asked afterward about the game.
