The Dallas Texans turned back the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 6-5, at Ozark Mountain Stadium. Chris Sawyer, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Dallas reliever Jean-Baptiste Jimenez snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Ruben Rodriguez shouldered the loss. The 4th-place Ridge Runners dropped to 56-60.

Sawyer had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Ruben Rodriguez, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Texans a 6-5 lead. It was the 27th double of the year for Sawyer.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Sawyer told the Dallas Bulletin.
