The Albany Firebirds defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 7-4, in TML AAA action at The Hole. Albany pitcher Gavin Birchall had a standout performance. Picking up the save was Israel Sanchez. He's now 16 for 20 in save chances. The victory gives Albany a record of 80-68.

Albany used a well-timed hit by Sebastian Joubert to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Firebirds ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Birchall told the Albany Daily.
