The Madison Muskies had to overcome a big game from Indianapolis designated hitter Nick Schroeder to leave The Corral with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-7. Schroeder went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ron Landerman, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-1. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1 innings. The win for the Muskies raised their record to 75-73.

Madison took the lead, 8-7, on Andy Rinaldi's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Indianapolis pitcher Caleb Broussard in the bottom of the eighth.

Rinaldi said, "Whether you hit the ball hard, you walk, you have a long at-bat, 10 or 12 pitches, or you hit a homer, you're just trying to do anything you can do to help the team win."
