Warriors Rally to Win
|
The Walnut Creek Warriors defeated the Manhattan Slice, 8-4. Right Fielder Travis Hudak deserved a large share of the credit. Hudak was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Warriors. Walnut Creek now sits at 40-60, while Manhattan falls to 45-55.
Robby Peppers came through with a big-time hit for Walnut Creek. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"They beat us fair and square," Manhattan skipper Giampaolo Marcovicci said.
