Cole Lifts Black Bears to 9-6 Win
The Thunder Bay Black Bears defeated the Fairfield Flash by the score of 9-6. Tom Cole starred for Thunder Bay, going 4-for-5 with 1 home run. Riley Adams, now 4-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. Thunder Bay is now 90-57, while Fairfield is 79-68.

Thunder Bay used a well-timed hit by Luis Abreu to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Black Bears ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"Right now, things are falling our way," said Thunder Bay manager Qi-chang Ec.
