The Jacksonville Pilots had no problem beating the Buffalo Bison, 14-3, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Erik Butler led the way. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for Jacksonville. Wayne Keevil got credit for the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Jacksonville is now 48-51. Buffalo is 51-48.

With Jacksonville leading 8-1 in the top of the fifth, Butler came up to bat against Buffalo pitcher Shawn O'Neill. Butler hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Pilots on top, 12-1.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Butler told the Jacksonville Today.
