The first-place Minneapolis Freeze took on the Waimea Wind in front of a spirited crowd.

Minneapolis registered a win at The Ice Box by beating the Waimea Wind, 7-3. Pitcher Mark Walsh was one reason why the Freeze triumphed. Walsh, now 10-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs.

The Freeze got a big at-bat from left fielder Jason Norman. For the game, Norman went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 25th double of the season gave Minneapolis a 4-2 lead.

Said Waimea manager Orlando González: "They did a lot of things right. We did a lot of things wrong."

The Freeze, at 80-64, sit in first place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division.
