Cats left fielder Ramon Sandoval put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Billings Mustangs. Sandoval went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Fort Worth in the contest. The save went to Kyle Taylor, number 7 for him. The 48-96 Mustangs have lost 11 consecutive games.

Sandoval had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 curveball from Ricky Maldonado, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Cats a 5-4 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Sandoval.

"We're learning some lessons in the school of hard knocks," philosophized losing manager Brad Lyons.
