Coal Miners Click Off Another Win, 2-1

The Antioch Coal Miners locked up a win at The Coal Mine, knocking off the Fort Worth Cats, 2-1. On the mound for Antioch was right-hander Marlon Walton. He played a major role in the triumph. Walton, now 5-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Antioch has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Ed Scott was 1 for 4 for Antioch. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Mike Leach. It was his 38th RBI of the season.
"Tough loss," said Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli. "But that's how the chips sometimes fall."
