Black Bears Tag Ambition with 3-1 Loss
|
The Thunder Bay Black Bears, behind a great outing from Joseph Fredericks, the first overall pick in the 2058 draft, defeated the Indianapolis Ambition, 3-1, at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza. Fredericks, the winner, moves to 8-1. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 5 walks. Ray Clemens was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 14 of 15 save opportunities.
Dylan Sullivan, who is tied for 7th in the RAAA in triples with 6, had a direct impact on the outcome. Sullivan contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Thunder Bay up, 3-1.
Fredericks attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
The win lifted the Thunder Bay record to 77-65.
