Eclipse Win at Home, 6-3
|
The Chicago Eclipse beat the Eureka Hornets, 6-3. Chicago pitcher and Constanza, Dominican Republic, native Victor Aguilar led the way. Aguilar, now 8-7, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs. Jerry Bamberg collected his 28th save.
Chicago left fielder Miguel Benavides helped the Eclipse go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Benavides hit a run-scoring single off Eureka pitcher Ian Bolin.
"That was a really good outing by Victor," said Chicago manager Demetrio Recchia.
