Kingwood starter Roberto Charris pitched effectively against the Chippewa River Chiefs at Stable Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 11-8. The victory gives the Knights a record of 90-72.

Ricardo Medrano had a big 2-run home run for the Knights in the bottom of the first inning. With Kingwood leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Clay Parsley and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 12th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knights ahead, 3-0.

"We got the victory," said Medrano. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
