McFadyen Belts 2 Homers in 9-3 Win
|
The Brownsville Bandits pinned a convincing loss on the San Antonio River Bandits, 9-3, at Dr Pepper Stadium. Harvey McFadyen was a main factor in the win. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for Brownsville. Franklin Lucero earned the win to go to 2-3. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. The setback makes San Antonio 87-75.
With Brownsville leading 1-0 in the top of the first, McFadyen hit a fastball from Sam Marshall for a 2-run home run. It was his 37th home run of the season and put the Bandits ahead, 3-0.
"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said McFadyen.
