Blazers Need Extra Innings to Top Armada, 6-5
The Bloomington Blazers beat the Quebec Armada, 6-5, in 10 innings at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Ben Petrich, in particular, was impressive. He went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bloomington reliever Justin Price picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Danny Phillips took the loss. Jason Phillips picked up his 18th save of the season.

Bloomington used the timely hitting of Rod Jimenez to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blazers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Jimenez. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."

Their 41-57 record puts the Blazers last in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
