The Chippewa River Chiefs downed the Kingwood Knights, 9-6. The hitting star was first baseman Dustin Hoste. Hoste went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the River Chiefs. Chippewa now has a record of 83-78 with the win.

Mike Devine had a big 2-run double for the River Chiefs in the bottom of the third inning. With Chippewa trailing 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Heriberto Leon and swatted a double to left. It was his 46th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Chiefs ahead, 3-2.
