The Carmel Apples powered past the Victoria Vikings, 9-7, at The drakkar. Wayne Keith went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3, to lead the charge. The winner was Symão Alegro, who threw 141 pitches over 7.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 9 hits. By defeating Victoria, the third-place Apples improved to 89-71.

With Carmel leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Keith hit a fastball from Jose Huerta for a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Apples ahead, 3-0.
