Road Warriors Top River Bandits, 3-1
|
The Westside Road Warriors picked up a win at Dr Pepper Stadium, knocking off the San Antonio River Bandits, 3-1. Starting pitcher Eric Marion was a big reason why. Tom Freeborn sewed up the save, his 8th. Westside has a record of 77-85, placing them 6th in the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division.
Josh Ehrhardt had an important at-bat with two out in the top of the first, when he hit a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season put Westside on top, 3-0.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Marion told the Westside Bulletin. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
