River Chiefs Earn 4-3 Win Against Panthers
|
The Chippewa River Chiefs picked up a win at Franklin Mountains Field, downing the Charleston Panthers, 4-3. On the mound for Chippewa was right-hander Danny Grotberg, who played a pivotal role in the win. The loss makes Charleston 62-95.
Chippewa needed the clutch hitting of Andres Jaimes to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the River Chiefs on top, 4-3. For the game, Jaimes had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Exhilarating win," said Grotberg.
