Cabral Launches 2 Dingers, But Niagara Falls Wins
|
St. Paul catcher Danny Cabral pounded Niagara Falls Barrels pitchers at Horseshoe Park, but it was not enough to keep the Saints from falling, 13-10. Cabral slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Jose Rodriguez recorded his 11th save for Niagara Falls. The victory makes Niagara Falls 48-108.
Jairo Soto had a big grand slam home run for the Barrels in the bottom of the first inning. With Niagara Falls leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Mauricio Angel and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Barrels on top, 5-0.
"We came out aggressive," said Barrels manager Ewan Pethick. "We came out swinging the bats."
