Carmel Grabs 5-0 Road Win
|
Right-hander Nick Fortenberry mesmerized the Okanagan Lake Monsters while leading the Carmel Apples to a 5-0 victory. Carmel now has a record of 85-67 with the win.
Greg Eckelberry, who is tied for 5th in the TA with a .329 batting average, helped out the Carmel cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
"I tried to establish all my pitches early," said Fortenberry.
