The Bloomington Blazers defeated the Quebec Armada, 11-6, in Thurman Munson League action at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Dave de la Torre pulled his weight. The 7-year veteran went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Bloomington used the timely hitting of Rod Jimenez to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blazers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," de la Torre told the Bloomington Today.
