The Houston Sting and St. Petersburg Pelicans played an exciting game.

No one was more impactful than Tony Coleman in the 4-2 Houston win over St. Petersburg. Coleman, who is tied for 7th in the RA with a .428 on-base percentage, was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. Don Mrazek notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now sits at 5-7. The save was credited to Tim Wulff, his 11th.

The Sting got a big boost from first baseman Julio de la Cruz who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Pelicans hurler Cameron Childress. It was his 43rd walk of the season and put Houston on top, 1-0.

After the game, Houston manager Barnabé Bacm applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
