Greg Eckelberry knocked in 4 runs to help Carmel beat Charleston, 13-11. The Corpus Christi, Texas native tallied 1 single and 1 home run. Earning the save was David Lewis. He's now cashed in 13 of 14 save opportunities.

Juan Cruz came through with a big-time hit for Carmel. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 12-11. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Eckelberry said.

The third-place Apples have won 4 straight.
