The Dallas Texans defeated the Bighorn Bison, 14-6, in Roberto Clemente League action at Metroplex Park. Miguel Portugal pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. Justin Mays had a big 2-run triple for the Texans in the bottom of the third inning. With Dallas trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Jeff Lee, who is tied for 9th in the RCL in wins with 8, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Texans ahead, 2-1.

Dallas manager Gary Stoy was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
