Down Goes Milwaukee, 8-0, to San Francisco
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes beat the Milwaukee Millers, 8-0, at Golden Gate Park. Starting pitcher Jeff Agin was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Nick Derr collected save number 3. The loss makes Milwaukee 50-63.
In the bottom of the fifth, San Francisco center fielder Dylan Robertson had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Robertson stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 3-0, San Francisco. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Robertson told the San Francisco News. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
