Buffalo wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jim Wallace, falling to the Hawaii Honu, 4-3. Wallace threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The 4th-place Bison now sit at 55-58.

Hawaii got a knockout punch from Sandy Rosales. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
