Saints Eke Out 7-6 Win Versus Niagara Falls
The St. Paul Saints beat the Niagara Falls Barrels at Saints Ballpark. The final score was 7-6, in favor of St. Paul. Mike O'Neill led the way, going 3-for-5 for the home team. The win went to Zbynek Petruzalek in relief. His record improves to 4-7. Willie Riojas took the loss. Despite the win, the Saints have a lousy 47-96 record.

St. Paul second baseman David Valdovinos contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 23rd hit of the season and put the Saints ahead, 6-4.

"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Valdovinos.
