The timely hitting of Carlin Chamberlain helped the Boston Whitecaps down the Wichita Wolverines, 5-2. Chamberlain belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Whitecaps. Boston improves to 101-61 with the win. They lead their division by 18½ games.

In the top of the third, T.J. Kirkpatrick delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Boston first baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Whitecaps in front, 5-2.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Kirkpatrick after the game.
