Extra-Inning Win by Royals Over Black Bears
Windsor starter Carlos Porras pitched well against the Fraser Valley Black Bears at The Stetson Bowl. The left-hander led his team to a win, 7-4, in 10 innings. Scott Kossow was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Arturo Cendejas. With the victory, the Royals upped their record to 101-60.

Windsor used the timely hitting of Mel Brace to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Royals on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This was a total team effort," said Porras.
