Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Drillers beat the Peacocks.

Getting a good performance from third baseman Stan Spencer, the Beaumont Drillers defeated the Murraysville Peacocks, 15-6. Spencer belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Drillers. The winning pitcher was Mike Batten. He's now 7-7. He went 5.1 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits for the Drillers.

Early in the game, Spencer had a 3-run home run for Beaumont. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Drillers on top, 3-0.

"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Spencer.

Beaumont has now won 3 straight, while the Peacocks have lost 4 in a row.
