Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Havana Stogies got the win.

Havana Stogies starter Sam Del Grosso hurled his team past the El Paso Mavericks, 4-2. The Stogies saw their win-loss record go to 55-56. At the same time, the Mavericks fell to 52-60.

Havana used a clutch at-bat from Maurice Edwards to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Stogies ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Edwards told the Havana Daily News.
