Frisco starter Steve Thomas kept the Boise hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 12-0. Thomas yielded no runs over 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. His record improves to 9-9. With the win, Frisco upped its record to 78-78.

The Hawks had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Rams going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old catcher Mike Paquette came to the plate. Paquette hit a 2-run home run on a 2-1 fastball from Boise hurler Daniel Sanez. It was Paquette's 9th home run of the year.
