Gibson Shines in 8-7 Havana Win
Havana center fielder Matt Gibson was instrumental in helping the Stogies triumph, 8-7, over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. Gibson went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The Stogies go to 42-70, putting them last in the Roberto Clemente League International Division.

Had Chase Waudby not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Waudby hit a 2-run double. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Stogies.
