Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Buffalo Bison and Chicago Eclipse.

The Chicago Eclipse knocked off the Buffalo Bison, 5-3, in Thurman Munson League action at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Chicago designated hitter and Gilmore, Ohio, native Jesse Hemmelgarn had an outstanding performance. In 7 innings, Hemmelgarn surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs.

Chicago used a timely hit from Gerard Parr to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We did enough to win," said Parr.
