Earthquakes Stumble, Lose to Blazers
|
The exploits of third baseman Nick Dunn, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2056 draft, helped the Bloomington Blazers defeat the San Francisco Earthquakes, 8-2. Dunn was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up his 1st save was 32-year old right-handed pitcher Timmy Middelkamp. Bloomington raised its record to 51-44 with the win.
Micah Bell chipped in a 2-run home run for Bloomington in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"What a dismal performance," lamented losing manager Bill DesMarais.
