Mambo Pops Two Homers in 6-5 Win for Kelowna
In a tight contest at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, the Kelowna Rockets edged the Marysville Monarchs by the score of 6-5. Kelowna designated hitter Haile Mambo, who blasted 2 home runs, was a key contributor. Preston Stenzel earned the save, his 12th, for the Rockets. The 5th-place Monarchs have dropped 5 straight games.

Mambo had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 knuckleball from Alex Blanco, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Rockets a 6-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Mambo.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Marysville manager Michael Fitzgerald.
