Whitecaps Score Late, Topple Indians, 5-4
The Boston Whitecaps beat the Wauwatosa Indians, 5-4, at Albert Park. The win was due in part to right fielder Matt Farmer, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Joe Jungbauer went 8 innings for Boston to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 2. His record improves to 5-4. Adam Walsh earned his 8th save in 11 chances.

It could have been a different outcome for Boston, had it not been for Tristan People, the 21-year old left fielder . People contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Boston up, 5-4.

"We found a way to get it done," Farmer said.

The first-place Whitecaps have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
