The Pacifica Shamrocks beat the Beaumont Drillers, 10-5, at McCormick Field. The win was due in part to first baseman Brent Kuby, who went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Despite the win, the Shamrocks still have a lousy 29-119 record.

With Pacifica leading 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Kuby hit a 2-run single off Beaumont hurler David Frisk. It was the 101st hit of the season for Kuby and put his team ahead, 6-3.

"The credit goes to our offense," said Pacifica manager Pedro Mercado.
