The Sandy Springs Spartans picked up a win at The Corn Crib, downing the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 4-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Sandy Springs was left-hander Patrick Perillo, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Spartans improved their record to 85-62 with the win over DeKalb.

Sandy Springs won the game in part because of Brian Hill. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Spartans ahead, 4-3. For the game, Hill had 1 double and 1 home run in 2 at-bats.
